It's the sound of 3 other people quaking in their boots!

Hell certainly shake things up with the other 3 "leaders".

I fully expect him to have 2 for breakfast, the other he will wipe the floor with.
He's used to being forthright and robust, the other 3 will be no match for him.
Cameron may escape with his life, the others will have new ones torn for them.
//Can you hear that noise?// yes, and there's a funny smell too.
thank goodness for that. do hope we get away from the (imo) mealy-mouthed false platitudes that the other three trot out all the time. a political broadcast that might be worth having.
@ChillDoubt

Clegg cant afford another one...hes already seen by most as a walking talking rsowl !
Well it should make for a bit more interesting viewing and of course given the growing popularity they have little choice, even if certain AB'ers think UKIP are not popular.

Whatever your views on Farage though, one is for sure; it is a rude awakening to the complacent!
I would be interested to hear what Farage has to say about minor subjects, like the NHS, education, defence, transport and the environment, if he can get off the subject of Europe for a few minutes. Also, will he be able to go for an hour without a cigarette, not to mention a light ale ?
Steady on Mikey, even he admits that UKIP is a one issue party. A bunch of clowns led by a buffoon ...same as the others.
I remember the debates in 2010 and have to admit that at the time Clegg made a very good impression, which probably denied the Tories outright victory.
// A bunch of clowns led by a buffoon ...same as the others. //

Labour are different. They're a bunch of buffoons led by a clown.
Ludwig, I think you may have a point:0)
farage v clegg? that would be cruel and farage is a buffoon
I suspect they'll all repeat the mistake of trying to ridicule him out of contention, and in so doing insult a large portion of the electorate. This will only serve to make him even more popular.
Jomifl...I know that UKIP are a one-issue Party, you know it too and even Farage knows it and has admitted it.

But my earlier post was somewhat tongue-in-cheek as so many people on here are saying that they intend to vote for UKIP and I thought it might be useful to them to know what Farage intends to do with their vote, on issues that really matter to them in their daily lives.
Wel lI have aways been of the opinion that these "debates" are a complete waste of time, a sop to the US way of electioneering but I reckon Nige will certainly make it a bit more of a bun fight than normal. I can see Dave, Ed and Cleggy all taking a beating!

Well, the UKIP message is getting through because we've just been discussing matters in the staff rest room and one of our consultant anaesthetists has voiced his intention to vote UKIP next year having voted Labour all his life.
Ludwig (12:02).....I seem to remember that it worked for Nick Griffin when he appeared on Question Time. I also remember that the others on the panel hardly had to lift a finger as Griffin seems quite capable of making an idiot out of himself without any outside assistance !
Chili...have you asked your consultant anaesthetist how he expects UKIP to improve the NHS, if a miracle was to happen and Farage gets into Number Ten ?

While you are at it, ask him also what he knows of UKIP's education, transport, defence, etc policies. Presumable this anaesthetist must have given these important areas some thought, before admitting a tendency to vote UKIP ?
And here you go again Mickey, references to the far right. Nice try but I tink it is pretty well established that UKIP are NOT far right so why keep inferring it?

As for Policy, have you enquired from Mr Milliband as to the Economy? He seemed to forget to mention it at the party conference.
Question Author
No mikey, it's his decision though I'd guess the NHS will feel the benefit as a result of the massively reduced budget for foreign aid that we really ought not be giving to countries with their own space programme.
