Doing 80 something in a 60 mph zone. Deserves everything he gets, although I expect he thinks its the nasty, unnecessary speed camera and not his dangerous driving that is at fault. What a twit !
Chili...didn't you say something about weaving in and out of traffic ? None of us know exactly when or where he had the ticket. We don't know the road or weather conditions at the time. We don't know the time of day. We don't even know at what speed he was clocked.
Hill and Hamilton have nothing whatsoever to do with this case. As far as I know, neither of them have consistently campaigned against speed cameras like Clarkson has.
Millions of boys and impressionable young men hang on his every word and he has set a bad example. I repeat...he should be using his considerable talents and high profile to improve road safety, not continually ridicule it. Speed is a major cause of deaths and injuries on our roads...Clarkson of all people should know that.
Tonyav...again, we don't know enough about Clarksons offence but as this was on a Motorway, then lighting has no effect on this case. It is always illegal to drive at 80mph+ on the M1.
Oh dear what a battering mikey is getting...but still he keeps getting up off the canvas for more
like I said earlier a petty and bitter person......
reminds me of the jobsworths that populate most council offices, you know, the sort that you see on a news interview trying to justify some pathetic decision or action theyve taken, they stand there and say in clipped tones "We have a responsibilty and a duty to blah blah blah blah"
Good for janbee what a horrible man, representing such a horrible sub-culture which is accepted by millions of T.V. freaks. You may have gathered that I have no patience with this man or the programme.
There is one thing I'd like Top Gear to try and that's to set up two radio controlled saloons and shunt one at 80mph into one doing 70mph and compate the result with a 10 mph car into a stationary one.
And then mount the wreckage on stands next to any motorway where speeding is commonplace.
//That isn't irony, if he campaign for them that would be irony.
Right or wrong? (I am willing to be corrected)

I think you are right. A trapper caught by their own trap is ironic. A person who wants police powers weakened but then gets caught doing something crooked is just "poetic justice".
