The local students are having "kiss ins" where everyone is encouraged to stand outside Sainsburys and snog their pals (same gender pals, obviously, given the context).
I think that the story has been twisted. Why would the security guard tell the shopper what the offended woman had said? If I had a snogging couple in my workplace, I certainly wouldn`t be repeating what the shopper had said. That is only going to inflame things. Either the snogging lady is exagerating, or the security guard needs to learn to deal with tricky situations with more tact and dipomacy IMO.
I'm gonna get shot down here, but who honestly wants to see a parade of gays kissing, hugging and feeling each other in public?
Seriously? Before you start asking me questions about my views on sexuality, do you really want to see displays of gay sexuality (or even hetro sexuality) on public display?
