As someone who avoided the 7/7 bombing out of sheer luck (I went into work early that day rather than at my normal time because I had a telecon with my team in India), I fully appreciate where your frustration come from.

But I don't think your proposals could work on a practical level.

I'm not saying that you're wrong and I'm right...what do I know...just that I think extremes measures wouldn't work in reality.
