Shh, don't tell Mikey!
Question Author
Ha ha. To be fair he might have said that before the EU money fiasco tho.
He missed the recent UKIP surge then, did he ? Gunna be a landslide victory.
He always was a closet Tory
As the anagram of his name has always hinted.
Question Author
He was indeed Prudie. Nooo Labour was just a slightly left of centre version of the Tories and the country was ready for a change. Political Genius.
Question Author
What 'Liar by ton'?
And a scottish labour woman resigns.

And now he denies it.

Lab and tories are both on the run. Thanks Nige you have bought some life to uk politcs
Fear not, mikey will turn this negative into a positive in typical Chemical Ali style.
I don't think TB did say that or at least he denied he said that........apparently the quote came from the brother of a friend of TB......or someone similar.
You are confusing your Iraqis. Chemical Ali was hanged, the one you're thinking of was Comical Ali and no one knows what happened to him.
Wow, it is a long time since we have had questions based on anything Tony Liar saying, as being the truth.

Miliband is in the same position Cameron was before the last General Election. He was seen as the wrong leader by many in his party and trailed in leader popularity opinion polls.

The difference is UKIP. They could take votes from the Conservatives and let in Miliband by the back door.

Question Author
We'll he would, wouldn't he Sqad.
I find it hard to believe slippery Tony said something like this. He is usually very guarded.

Agree gromit but remember ukip us also making inroads into labour votes too, too a kesser degree but in close calls those few could make the difference..
// You are confusing your Iraqis. Chemical Ali was hanged, the one you're thinking of was Comical Ali and no one knows what happened to him. //

No, the one HE was thinking of is the fella [ Nobel prize winner I think, but not Abdus Salaam who IS a nobel prize winner but it s not him ] who does the progz on the Periodic Table. Some of the scenes were set in an alchemists lab of 1450 and he does bits and pieces with phosphorus light ( very low temperature flame ). Yeah him
But does he turn electrons into protons ? interesting idea

I cant recollect his name but instead of snub-nose or 'big fella' Chemical Ali is perfectly accurate

and yes the fella said all sorts of sensible chemical things
Comical Ali was a senior Iraqi officer who, as the *** was being bombed out of Baghdad, insisted that Iraq was on course for a stunning victory.
It was indeed Comical Ali aka Baghdad Bob. Not sure if my typo or iphone predictive text!
This was the FT's analysis a few months before the last General Election.

//  The message from the opinion polls is that the voters have had their fill of the present government. They think Mr Cameron probably deserves to win. But they are not shouting from the rooftops for a Tory victory. With the government in a mess, the Tories should be at 45 or 50 per cent in the polls. Instead they struggle to stay at about 40 per cent. //

The predicament Miliband finds himself in are identical to 2009. The electorate thought the Government needed to change, but were not convinced by the Conservatives and Cameron. Same can now be said of Miliband and Labour.
Question Author
Millibars finds himself in the predicament of having the leaderships skills and dynamism of a tortoise.
The danger with that analogy is that in a contest with the hare the tortoise won!
