Driverless cars are a proven technology and it is only legislation and infrastructure issue that are holding it back. But they are coming.

Which raises a problem about future employment prospects for tens of millions of people in this country who currently drive as an occupation. What are they going to do when cheaper, driverless transport arrives.

Bus drivers
Delivery drivers
Taxi Drivers
Post
Couriers
Logistics
Ambulance

Millions of jobs will disappear due to this new techology.
Already on the roads in Nevada, Florida and California so your a bit 'post festum' there TTT.
Driverless buses and taxis would be OK but how would a driverless delivery van get the package from wherever it could stop to my front door and then knock to tell me it had arrived?
That's easy, it would automatically text or email you when it was 5 minutes away and you would go out an d pick it up from a slot in the side of the vehicle.
nah - it'll never catch on .

Who wants to sit there in a car doing nothing - it'll be boring , without having to change gears / put your indicators on / put your windscreen wipers on / depressing the clutch / racing up to the next set of traffic lights / sticking two fingers up to the person who has just cut you up .........
Zacs I'd forgotten how much fun it could be on here, read my first post on this! WAP!
