Bit of bad luck, wasn't it. The first gay couple(men) who were allowed to foster children were very quietly locked up for sexually abusing them.
I was looking for it on google but they seem to have 'prosecuted' and 'persecuted' mixed up. All you can find is pages of whinging gays saying how unfair life is.

As for the thread: I think the jury is still out on whether sexuality is nature or nurture.
How often do you hear the phrase "spent too long with his mother" or "not enough time with their father", in the case of effeminate behaviour.
Children copy what they see and hear. If they have minimal contact with heterosexuals while growing up, what are an *adopted* child's mannerisms going to be like? The same or different from the children in the story, where genetic inheritence is a factor?
No one knows the answers to questions like those. It is a social experiment. We are (collectively) experimenting on children.
Again.

interesting one.... "popcorn special thread" this one.
Couple of comments: Kvali, yes you're right, if they were straight this wouldn't be in the papers however they are not and it was a dead cert to make the papers. You have two same sex couples helping each other out to have a child, that is out of the ordinary by any stretch of an individuals' view of normal.
Lots of unnecessarily sexist comments on both sides of the fence. I think the reality of this is whether you have any tolerance of homosexuality or not, people are what they are, leave them to it.
This situation; very tricky one and I would hate to be in the position of trying to sort it out.... but judges are paid lots of money to sort these things out and the thought of a "pact" being legal and binding is laughable. If the chao is the proven father then unless he's a psychopath who threatens the well being of his children then he should have some rights..... Nightmare of a situation
