I don't understand why he's not locked up in a psychiatric hospital somewhere. He is obviously never going to be rehabilitated (not that I think any paedophile ever can be), so should he not be somewhere he can't hurt any more children?

It might be a psychological condition but that doesn't mean they have to act on it. It's the acting on it that's illegal, not the improper thoughts of the condition...as everyone knows, you can't control peoples thoughts.

AP...I believe that most paedophiles are born that way. A few are that way because they know no different after years of sexual abuse that they suffered.

I don't think Gary Glitter is insane. I think psychiatric treatment only has a chance of working on victims that repeat learnt behaviour.
