The shirt in question:

OK, the guy is a bit of an eccentric but came across as hugely passionate about his subject and excited beyond belief, the point that he's had tattoos of the event.
But was the shirt something to apologise for? The women were 'scantilly clad' but there are no bare breasts/buttocks on show, just leather corsets etc and they're portrayed as probably sc-fi type characters.
But did him donning it warrant the *** storm that followed, or was it just a few bra-burners looking for an excuse?

Jeeez does everyone have to get so bloody hysterically offended over everything? nothing offensive about the shirt, he shouldn't have had to apologise and should have apologised and the people who are offended need to get a life. I'm possibly the biggest feminist you would ever meet but there's nothing 'anti female' about that shirt, or indeed the man...

I just think he was in a buoyant mood and the colour/pattern of the shirt he chose reflected his state of mind.
He came across as very passionate about his subject, but then most of them are.
It's just a shame that such a stunning achievement has to be overshadowed by some PC bu!!$h1te on Twitter, though I doubt even his tearful apology will assuage those who moaned.

1) It's an awful shirt, but so what.?
2) They've been working on that mission for 25 years, and he'll probably spend the rest of his career working on the results, so why shouldn't he get a tattoo of it? People get a tattoo of a chinese symbol that means f* all on a whim. This obviously means something to him.
