maybe, the way they reported it on the radio this morning suggested the cabby's personal charity but it sounds more likely to be a general fund 'thingy'.

Recording & passing convo without first warning is unlawful, but then how honest is the cab driver. Mellor should sue!

Some systems have a sound button that the driver can activate should things get heated - protection for both driver and passenger.
