Terrible case.....

also mentioned this morning, the court case in London as to whether a drinking mother can be done for murder by poison of her foetus, the issue of whether a foetus is a person. Christ, that's awful too.
It's been denied DTC.

Despite the good intent, it would have opened a whole new can of worms if one can sue a parent for how they choose to live their life. Itrust here are already laws against abuse, but I'm no legal expert to know what they might be.
well it was a can of worms potentially, drug use or even smoking could have been brought into the mix legally......
The police no longer suspect the vicar, his wife and his daughter of sexual offences.

Surely that was a different case, in Lancashire ?
How heartbreaking - also what a shocking lack of security at that maternity unit.
OG, it is a different case but it's been mentioned on this thread.
Body now identified.
Maybe she may have arranged to be picked up by a car by someone and then the baby taken from her. I believe that the child may be alive. I hope so.
The body of the baby was found near the mother.
Sadly the bodies of both mother and baby have now been found. Such a sad end for them both and a terrible shame no one noticed her plight and gave her the attention that could have saved them.
So, so sad. I've just shed a tear. RIP.
oh my........... so sad, RIP.

This is the worst ending to this story that we could have imagined, although not unexpected by any means. That poor tiny little baby....

One thing I am still unsure about is this. The Hospital and the Gorge are about 1-2 miles apart. It can be quite clearly seen on the CCTV that she wasn't wearing any shoes. Surely somebody must have seen her on her journey ?
A barefoot woman holding a baby is hardly common place.
Poor both, Mikey. Just dreadful and am crying a little, here. I remember the horrible upsurge of hormones which happens after birth, you honestly aren't normal and accountable if it is bad. Why, oh why did no one follow up on the CCTV of her walking out?
People out in their slippers is more commonplace than you think Mikey.
Hospitals are not prisons. She had every freedom to walk outside. There is no fault with the hospital here.
But no one should be able to walk out with a baby - not even the mother. When I had my son a midwife carried him out, for insurance reasons she said. I don't know if that policy has changed.
I agree. This is a sad, sad story, but lets not lay the blame anywhere. Not with the nurses or with the passers by in the street.

I don't beleive any of us would challenge a walking along woman carrying her baby either. She may only have her slippers on but all we would do is to glance and wonder why.

RIP sweethearts.
A walking along woman? Sorry I obviously meant a woman walking along.
