Who can say if it is futile or not - we dont know what evidence they have
I suppose it depends on the outcome of the interviews.

Do we know if these people have been interviewed before, or if they are new "persons of interest"?
Would you put your money on it being a fruitful trip?

I wouldn't.

neither would I sqad :(
Not holding my breath ...
If and if it is a big IF, she is found alive with a family, well fed and looked after, would it be beneficial for the girl to be taken away again and handed back to the McCanns?
That's quite an issue, Sqad. If she is found safe, well and loved by a new family (who maybe paid for her "adoption" out of desperation), how on earth would it play out?

It's pointless speculating about it. No-one will know if the journey was futile until it's happened.
2sp....I have no idea......as you know, I am not very perceptive in these human emotional problems.
I would think it would depend on how much she remembers of her parents and home life .

How old was she when she was abducted ? .

But don't forget a crime has been commited - so there is no way that she could remain with this family - this family is bound to know what has occurred - afterall it's not like going to the shop and acquiring a bag of sugar - is it
ludwig....what's wrong with a bit of "speculation?"

If we wait until they return with the facts and THEN we comment, it won't be speculating.
// what's wrong with a bit of "speculation?" //

Nothing really. It's just a bit pointless. All you can say is either 'yes, I think it'll be futile - or no I think it won't be futile'...and that's pretty much the end of the discussion.

ludwig...true......very true.....but the lives and conversation of the majority of people is ........pointless.
Oh dear, not another thread on this :-(
I trust the police put the same proportional effort into all their cases.
I think it's futile. My heart bleeds for them, but they won't find her, I am sorry to say I believe she has left this life many years ago. When I am in charge of of GD in shopping malls and so on, I don't let her out of my sight for a second. There are some absolute monsters out there , as we read every single day, all over the world. Death sentence ? Oh yes, for these ba.......
// I think it's futile. My heart bleeds for them, but they won't find her //

They're trying to find out what happened to her. It's more about that now than any expectation of finding her alive.
