The Poll is indeed three weeks old, as Blackadder has shown us but it shows Labour ahead and not the Tories. If I were to see a Tory lead of 8 points ahead...now that would be real news ! But it hasn't happened since before the 2010 Election ! Ever.

Lord Ashcroft has been ringing alarm bells for months now, about how exposed the Tories are in marginal seats, and he is an ex-Chair of the Tory Party !

I have been saying this for months and months now...all the trends show that the Tories just can't get ahead and stay ahead. Its this that is the significant fact, not individuals Polls. Of course, you know that ! But others still need persuading it would seem

dave must be asking himself why his Party is still unable to be more popular.
Most of the newspapers are Tory supporters, and he has plenty of wealthy friends in high places. Everybody keeps telling me that the two Eds are useless, and that nobody can trust the Labour party again.

But the Tories are still lagging behind ! There are some on AB that say that a miracle will happen sooner or later, and dave will be saved by men from the Planet UKIP, or maybe the SNP. Well, if dave is expecting a miracle, with only effectively 4 months to go, than he had better spend most of that time on his knees, praying profusely !

Thanks jomlett...haven't been out for the papers yet. While I am cheered up by Labour being ahead, I am even more bucked by the apparent decline in Farages popularity. To paraphrase some body ( Larry Ellison I think )

" Its not sufficient that Labour should succeed...UKIP must fail " !
