Sorry this is a bit late but I am only now catching up with the weekend papers :::

http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/dec/20/newspaper-boss-police-vip-paedophile-coverup-claim

According to this report in the Observer, the cover-up of previous paedophile investigations may have more overt than at first we realised. Apparently "D " Notices were issued to the Surrey Comet, to stop it reporting on the goings on at the Elm Guest House.

For those not familiar with "D " Notices, these are issued "to protect national security" here is the Wiki entry :::

Curiouser and curiouser, as Aice might have remarked !

I have heard stories for years that some VERY senior politicians have skeletons in their closets in terms of paedophilia. The truth will come out I hope before they all die, but I think we will feel uncomfortable at some of the names

We may feel uncomfortable but we should also feel vindicated, as the victims may eventually see some kind of justice. This latest news, from Mr Hilton Tims, aged 81, says that he has now been interviewed by the Police, to tell all he knows.

It has been said that the "wheels of British justice grind slowly but exceedingly fine"

eddie...I admire your candour but your reference to one of Britains favourite popster may not remain long on this site ! But there is a greater scalp that may follow, and I have already given a sort-of clue in this post !

well according to the editor of the Surrey Cornet anyway

D notices were such that I doubt very much whether there was ever an audit trail

D notices were diaobeyed anyway - Daily Wxpress and Chapman Pincher sprint to mind

Just found this on the 'net ::::

Well, well, well...a Tory group recommending visits to the Elm Guest House...who would have thought it possible !
mikey, given the subject to hand I suggest you reflect on your last post

humbersloop... Happy Xmas morning to you !

I have indeed reflected, as you said, and its even more obvious now, how a previous Tory Home Secretary managed to "mislay" the dossier given to him by one of his own Party Members, Goeffrey Dickens.

How terribly careless of him.
Well mikey you were right, my 2 posts that mentioned the name of a well known male UK pop-star in connection with Elm Tree Guest House have been removed.
Despite the fact that the information is on the 'net' for anyone who cares to look.
I think everyone knows who it is.
kitty by any chance?
wonder if santas been to his house?

Eddie.......I don't really blame the Editor, as I guess he must be careful of being sued ! But as Ummmm has said, everybody should now know who was involved at the Elm Guest House...all they have to do is goggle the ruddy place !

But these latest allegations about Dolphin Square are on a much more serious level altogether, if boys were indeed murdered. I have found out something interesting this morning. The guest house was owned partly by Carole Kasir and her husband Haroon (Harry) Kasir. Carole died in 1990, but Haroon is very much alive, so I hope the Police have been paying him plenty of visits of late.

This investigation, "Operation Fairbank" has been ongoing since 2012 and I feel more confident now than at any time in the past, that the truth will eventually emerge, if only MI5 can be persuaded not to interfere as they have in the past.

Whether it will emerge before next General Election next May, is doubtful
though, as the fall out will be the worst political scandal since Profumo, maybe even more so. It is often said that turkeys rarely vote for Xmas.
regardless of the renewed interest in this case, and notwithstanding the much more serious level mentioned by others.

the fact remains that these are allegations relating to very prominent, powerful people, some of whom are still alive and still wielding considerable influence.

conjecture and rumour is as far as any of this will go - all of us will be long dead before any of it is made public.
I hope not mushroom. I don't have any plans on dying any time soon.

It has to come out but I do believe it will be stalled.
The Home Secretary is desperate to stop this coming out. That is why she is interfering in the setting up of the investigation. She is trying to ensure that only people who can be pressurised into giving the 'right' result are on the panel.
As the director of MI6 is alleged to have been a main participant in the Elm tree parties the potential for blackmail is enormous if the Russians or Chinese get hold of it.
mrs may could employ Michael Garcia to lead then inquiry. then, when he presents his evidence, the government can redact most of it, and hail the resultant report as a ringing exoneration of all concerned.
It's hard to believe that any senior member of the security services, never mind a leading light in MI6, would have ever went near the place. One person on the list of 'guests' was a leading Sinn Fein member. He must have been under observation when in London and some of the others said to frequent the haunt would have known that.
When you see one edge of a story start to unravel you couldn't be blamed for wondering how the rest of it would hold up.
