Baby Born In Sports Direct
Anyone remember this? A woman (I think she was a member of staff) gave birth in the toilets of a Sports Direct branch in Derbyshire about this time last year. Never heard anything of the case since and I wondered what became of it all.

Well, from my second link... //She had allegedly been refused permission to go home after reporting sick. Police confirmed they questioned the woman for “ neglect” but she has not been charged.// So that may eplain why no follow up on the lady herself, not sure about the company side of things.

Didn't cast the company in a good light.

Your links are to the right story. I do recall there was a lot in the news at the time about SD's working practices and I seem to recall in one report that the mother was a migrant worker, possibly Eastern European and possibly not entirely legal either.
Usually, in cases where the parent has been arrested like this, there's some report at a later date on the outcome of the court case, even if it doesn't name the parties involved. There doesn't seem to be anything more, though. Wonder if there was a complete reporting embargo on the case for some reason.
I only remember the case, really, because we were staying not far away and it was the big story of the week locally.
