Hostages Taken In Kosher Supermarket In Paris

At least five people have been taken hostage at a kosher supermarket in Paris after a shootout, the gunman suspected of being the same man who killed a policewoman in Montrouge, southern Paris, on Thursday, and a member of the same jihadist group as brothers Said and Cherif Kouachi.

They're now saying there are 6 hostages, and 2 people have been killed.

It appears there is some connection between the two ongoing incidents. Both groups are now holding hostages. The prospects for those hostages doesn't look good. Clearly the Jewish Supermarket was targetted for the expendability of the people they captured there.

I can't even begin to imagine the fear and terror the hostages are going through just now, let alone their loved ones waiting for the situation to end.
