That was guaranteed, zacs. I'm afraid it didn't take special powers to know this would be the meme.
No doubt. There is no war as no State has declared war, so we don't have to treat murderous criminals as if they were prisoners of war and apply associated rules that benefit these dregs.

I think you've missed the point OG.
I think I made a valid point all too many are missing. I believe your point was to claim the muslim religion is responsible and claiming otherwise is just an excuse because you predicted this would be said.
Question Author
You did make a valid point but, as you point out, it wasn't the point my thread was about.
No matter what atrocities are committed in the name of Islam, we always hear the same from some "it's got nothing to do with me Gov" , perhaps if some were to distance themselves from this religion we might begin to believe them.
As OP link.

"We condemn what happened in France. We condemn the violent extremism that is targeting westerners"

Muslims should show condemnation of radicals by intergrating with host countries & 'working' (no Benefits) to live according to western standards. Leave islamism to the radicals & destruction of eastern towns. Support the west in the quest for peace of innocent muslims caught in crossfire of east internal wars.
Question Author
Yes, Tambo, condemnation is all well and good but Muslims need to Be actively working with the worlds security forces to penetrate these cells and combat the extremists from within.
Youre right Zacs, if radicals are so apt at combat from foreign boot camps, proving every muslim has same capacity. Join the host country boot camp & play their part.

Question Author
Well, that's not quite what I said but you're on the right lines.
Your link by Tariq Ramadan is just a whinge of "muslims want respect". Respect is earned by playing your part!
Question Author
I don't think its a case of him asking for respect, more that he's crying 'it wasn't us' in the usual, predictable, fashion.
Perhaps a good start would be to bring back National Service, then perhaps we would see on what side of the fence these young Muslims sit?
Brilliant idea AOG, train the to use guns..

/// Brilliant idea AOG, train the to use guns.. ///

And don't they manage now, without any training?
one minute it's "I demand that Muslims denounce these attacks".

Then when one does exactly that, he's accused of "crying 'it wasn't us' in the usual, predictable, fashion".

//It is particularly important to be clear about where we stand, for the attackers said things that cannot be allowed to go unchallenged. They said they were avenging the prophet. That was wrong. In fact, it is the message of Islam, our principles and values, that have been betrayed and tainted. They refer to Islam to justify what they did. From a religious viewpoint, I feel it is my responsibility to say that this has nothing to do with the message of our religion. //

that's not what Anjem Choudary said earlier this week. dismiss him as a hothead if you like, but he has the ear of thousands of potential jihadis.

Perhaps it is actions rather than mealy mouthed words that some wish to see?

As the saying goes "Actions speak louder than words".
You obviously don't 'get' whats being said, jno. Did you bother reading the story?

Thanks jno you saved me the bother (just a bit of cut and paste :-) )
As for "integration", one at least of the policemen killed at Charlie Hebdo was a Moslem
