Whatever their motive it wasn't to teach him a lesson, that was just a lying attempt at defence. Deliverance wasn't just a fantasy.

The US family claim they were "teaching" the child.....there are some here who teach their children by smacking.....which is an abuse too....so I don't think we have anything to feel superior about.....

Didn't the UK family do it for money? Not that either reason makes it any better for the child who suffers.....
