I don't post to put words into people's mouths, each individual takes accountability for their own words. It's called 'freedom of expression'. Sadly, some take this to extremes but let them show themselves up and be exposed with strong counter-argument, no stifling or law needed to gag them.

I wasn't criticising the original post, as a matter of fact, just satirising the fact that one or two people seemed disappointed that no one had posted anything supporting the shooting or dissenting from the general view, which I am sure most of us hold, that it is a bad thing. There was no question or point of debate raised, so it was hardly surprising that no one had entered into a debate that didn't exist

you can name your child after the prophet; mohammed himself said it was fine to name children after him, so that is considered to be honouring him.

now if you were to name your teddy bear mohammed - oh dear, dear, dear, dear.......

Randy, the prohibition against portraying Mohammed (or any of the prophets for that matter) is because any image might encourage veneration of the Prophet rather than his message. This would be idolatry.

BTW I heard the other days that there were 3 or 4 early portraits of Mohammed, which only scholars study. R4 an Islamic scholar mentioned it on Today.

I think it is coming down to the idea - that if you dont like Danish democracy and what it means then you have to go to another country where shootinng people for their beliefs is allowed

The true C-listers, Ag (and I've listened to a lot of them on AB) will usually try to disguise their unpleasant attitudes with a lot of hypocritical cant. This was noticeably missing from Jude's post. So I think he was having a bit of fun.

Even AOG was saying that he should be free to cuss whomever he wanted

My argument with the C-listers is not that they express their views, but that they (with a very few honourable exceptions) are unable or unwilling to offer a coherent defence of them when opposed.
