I should have made that point clearer - I see no harm in his attire (young man in a fancy suit without reference to 50 shades), but I have gone on to explain how what it represents is wrong and the teachers had no choice in how they reacted. //

I see from Wikipedia that World Book Day is observed in the UK and Ireland – perhaps it should be re-named ‘British Isles Book Day’.

Perhaps the title refers to all books published anywhere in the world, rather than to the people who participate. Just a thought.

Were there really children dressed as Dexter?
Have they read the books? I loved the tv series, but the books themselves were pretty dreadful. I mean, badly written, not necessarily that they were full of gore.
I saw lots of Wallys from Where's Wally, but does that count as a book? It's just pictures, isn't it?
