Top Gear earns huge income for us, tho the countries who buy TG dont always 'get' Brit humour. Theyre too quick to take offence where none intended.

Really? If Clarkson gets sacked Top Gear will end. James May and Richard Hammond will probably leave and set up their own show on a different channel/network with Clarkson which will be a huge hit.

As the article actually points out, the money Clarkson makes for the BBC is in its commercial (overseas) arm. The part of the BBC funded by the licence fee is entirely separate
Top Gear would not actually end without him. It pre dates him by years and would be too valuable to give up

He'll be appearing in front of a BBC panel soon !. Coincidently the three Top Gear presenters contracts are up at the end of this month !.

I would like to see him sacked by the beeb. TopGear is becoming tired and needs a new format. ITV or C4 (but please not Sky) need to hire him for a new show with a slightly different agenda. I think Clarkson knows deep down the days of TG with the BBC are numbered anyway and he may as well go out with a bang.
