Don't they have a NHS in Milton Keynes?

What probably sticks in most people's craw about this is that Ms Nzolameso, who appears to have done little or no work in her life and seems unlikely ever to do so, can afford to live in just about the most expensive areas of the country because the taxpayer is picking up the bill for her accommodation. Meantime, a young couple both working hard in decent jobs and...

/// The real issue here is that the housing cost is too high and that there is not enough social housing stock. ///

And where do you think they could build this 'social housing stock', isn't London crowded enough, and we all know the reason for that don't we? (or some do, while others tend to ignore the fact)
Westminster Council has previous form on exporting poor people it thought were not Conservative voters, out of its borough. Remember Dame Shirley Porter prosecuted for gerrymander for doing just that.

I do have a certain amount of sympathy for the Lady involved,

I mean, Milton Keynes!!!!!!!! . . .
It is unfair to those in work and paying tax to expect those out of work to not suffer any hardship whatsoever. If those not working are comfortable and suffering no hardships then where is the incentive to find work?

/// They aren't 'given' the money. They have their housing paid for. You're talking like people get £500 cash in hand. ///

Same difference, they live rent free, saves them from spending the money of wide-screen TV etc.

/// Westminster Council has previous form on exporting poor people it thought were not Conservative voters, out of its borough. ///

And wasn't it Labour who opened the floodgates of mass immigration, most who then moved into 'poor people's' areas, so as to increase their voting stock?
ANOTHEOLDGIT your digs at Gromit are really getting boring. Instead of constantly mumping about it, take it up with the Ab Editor.
I wouldn't shed too many tears. She's probably living with her OH and sub-letting her place.

AOG, have you actually read the reason the decision was overturned?
"lack of evidence that the council had sought accommodation closer to Westminster."
In other words it was ruled that Westminster council took her kids away because they couldn't be bothered to look properly. Does this have any effect on your opinion?
AOG...do you feel that you can't speak your honest views when Gromit is about? Like Corby says...your continuous reference to him being a mod is tiresome. He's not going to suspend you for having different views to him...
....no matter how much we may desire that.
