/// Look, this isn’t jealousy thing. I am as chuffed as the next lesbian when one of “my people” win an award. And even though a relatively few lesbian-themed movies have been nominated for awards, let’s face it: the nearest a lesbian has got to an Oscar was when Ellen Degeneres hosted them last year. ///
/// So, just where have all the lesbians gone? ///
I would suggest that the amount of lesbians featuring in the film and TV world is directly proportional to the amount of lesbians involved in the top jobs in these areas.
Film and television is made largely by men, and it is a fact that a higher proportion of gay men work in the arts compared with other culturally influential professions.
Logic dictates therefore that a lower proportion of women would infer a lower proportion of lesbian women involved in the commissioning and production processes, so that is reflected in the lesser interest in finding roles and outlets for lesbian characters and scenarios.
This view is based entirely on opinion, so as always, I would be interested to hear the views of anyone with experience in this area - so to speak!
Where have all the lesbians gone, long time passing?
Where have all the lesbians gone, long time ago?
Where have all the lesbians gone?
Young girls have picked them everyone.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Bring in a third gender (lesbians and male homosexuals) and there will be no discrimination it really should be that simple and much easier for those born as per. There has GOT to be a third gender and it has got to be realised for goodness sake.....it really would stop all the problems that occur for those who are not heterosexual surely??
If there was a legal third gender you would have to prove you were born Gay, otherwise your sexuality would be classed as a ' lifestyle preference' and not a gender. Very few Gay people are physically hermaphrodite .
Just shows you how times have changed tambo......I didn't even know what a homosexual was at 18 let alone 'being rogered'. OMG....what a sheltered life led lol.
tambo
Indeed your kids have old heads on young shoulders. That is precisely the terminology that would have been used in the days of The Raj and much earlier.
Nowadays it would be ***gin* or shaf**ing. :-)
