Martin Freeman

That fine upstanding actor, Martin Freeman appeared in Labours Election broadcast yesterday. This is the man who:
Backed Arthur Scargill (whilst rejecting the Labour Party at the time)
Sends his kids to Private Schools
Let his long term partner, a fellow actor who this week said "*** the Tories, to go backrupt in 2013, owing the tax man £120,000. This is a basic form of tax dodging. Live with a wealthy partner, don't pay your tax, declare bankruptcy and have no consequences.
Talk about double standards. I think Lsbour should be more careful about choosing its 'Celebrities' in future.

There’s nothing wrong in sending your children to private school if you can afford it, but anyone who does it whilst giving the impression that they support Labour with its damaging 'one size fits all' educational policy is a hypocrite. Diane Abbot is another ‘do as I say not as I do’. Irrelevant I know, but Martin Freeman is a rotten actor. I watched him...

All the Parties go the celebrity route and it is dangerous. Jeffery Archer, Kenny Everette instantly springs to mind.
Supporting the miners isn't really a crime, many did. The tax affair of his partner are nothing to do with him.
I didn't see the broadcast, so cannot judge it. Rubbishing celebrities who appear in party political broadcast is to be expected from their political opponents, so not much more yo say.

I watched him in ‘The Hobbit’ – and could have been forgiven for thinking he was playing Dr Watson with big hairy feet. A bit like John Wayne. Regardless of the role, he was always John Wayne.
Ummmm
//What is wrong with sending your kids to a private school if you can afford it?//
Nothing, but it's a toxic subject with Labour and its supporters who insist on lowest common denominator state schools (Unles you're called Tony Blair, Dianne Abbot etc)

Do they pay all the money back? I don't think so. Wouldn't you think that Freeman would have given his long term partner a hand with paying her tax bill out if his £100 million quid!?

He rubbished Labour and the party he supported believed in the typical Communist agenda of:
A man wakes up in his state owned house, catches the stated owned transport to a state owned factory. Catches the state owned bus back home and encourages his to follow in his footsteps.

Linda....whether he sends his kids to private schools or not is entirely irrelevant. And many people supported the Miners, including me.....they would have starved without any help.
How is this chap any different to all the people that have supported the Tories in the past ? Gromit has already mentioned the truly awful J Archer.
I look forward to you being as caustic when dave produces a celebrity or two out of the hat.
Debate issues Linda, not personalities.

Mikey, Linda is debating issues. Freeman is a hypocrite. As for the miners potentially starving to death, I know people who travelled north specifically to give striking miners money to help keep their families. It was rejected because they didn’t want help from snobby southerners – so spare me the bleeding hearts.
