‘Chambers’ isn’t a participant in this discussion. However, for the benefit of the reader my Chambers defines a Conservative thus:

In order to avoid tedious repetition – and because I can’t be bothered to type it all out, I’ve edited that – but that doesn’t sound so bad to me and there’s not a word about bigotry to be found. Are you sure you’re looking at Chambers?
This discussion is becoming silly which is a shame because it could have been interesting. I'm going to look for something more sensible to talk about before I go to bed.
