Was Your Election Night Ruined By Poor Broadband Speed?
6 Answers
Mine was. Still is. Probably over 12 hours of sub 0.4 Mb speeds. One website I tried (downdetector.co.uk) showed some major outages for TalkTalk, at the moment, although I had to use an "other" option to report it as broadband problem, rather than a mobile/email/landline problem. The map probably reflects phone network issues.
Election chat effect?!?
So, how was yours. If your ISP performed well, tell us about it.

I'm on 8Mb tariff. I wouldn't mind them throttling back to 1-2Mb, for anticipated busy times but, when they put the chokes on, at all, it's always a cut to 0.02Mb. It's like being on a 90's modem again, except there are animated adverts all over the place so pages take ages to load.
@Baldric
I like the sound of those speeds. You must live in a big city? Out in the Styx, where I am, there's no financial return in putting fibre down every street. I think there's still a mile of copper cable between me and the main exchange for the town. It's why I decline to upgrade.
