I just think it's a tragedy all round.

This woman stole to feed a drug habit - the two are often connected.

A poor role model?

Of course, but a tragedy none the less.
Oh, how sad.

There's something odd about being drunk when its cold. It's quite disorientating. In December, two people died when they came out of a night club where they'd been drinking, staggered down the beach, and got washed away in the sea.

I can't quite get my head round the "Stay here, I'll be back" thing. Back with a ladder??
Oh, I didn't say, the night club washed away by the sea thing, it was just down on the sea front here.
All the boyfriend said in that report is 'she's the best' and spoke of his heartbreak.
The guy that she was with was her friend and not her partner.

It was a stupid and senseless way to die but the friend was also probably too drunk to make rational decisions.

It is always sad when there is a child involved.
It said also in report, hc, that he left her in the grounds and told her to wait there and on his return, she wasn't there and had wandered off. She couldn't have gone too far, in her state.

What if he stayed longer trying to find her and REALLY searched the area, knowing that she was in a bad way and why did he leave her in the first place?
If she was my girlfriend, would never had left her alone.

As Andy mentioned, a tragedy indeed.....but one that could have been avoided?.....we never know sadly.
I guess the OP meant the guy who was with the young woman at the time by "boyfriend". I would also guess that this man would have gone to the house in Craig Close to get someone to come back and help her over the fence, or possibly just go to pick something up (drugs?) and then aimed to go back the way they had come.
Very sad, anyway.

Hi wolf

Not drunk enough to have returned to the exact spot where he had left his friend waiting for him in the first place.
Sorry, it is stated in the report NOT her boyfriend with her that night, but a male friend, who is the person I am talking about.

A very sad story when I first heard about it and even more now.
