The collapse of UKIP continues unabated, and unassisted by anybody outside of the Party. Total implosion imminent.

Yes Tony here's to us who is like us ? Damn few, They're all dead.
^made more sense in Scottish (and it didn't make much then)
Mikey, I assume the exclamation mark at the end of the title of your question indicates alarm. Are you alarmed?

Aw, come on, be fair, Mikey has not had a lot to crow about in the last couple of weeks!
Question Author
Naomi...I am sure that I don't have to spell this out to you, of all people but no, I am not in anyway alarmed. As long as UKIP is tearing itself apart, I am far from alarmed. Everything that I predicted about UKIP has become apparent.

Mr Farage has been promising for some considerable time that he and his Party will "break the mould of politics" in Britain, and there is no evidence or this happening whatsoever. I might remind you that he entered the fray with 2 MPs and ended it with 1. And Mr Carswell is far from being his greatest fan.

He himself, was humiliated in the Election, by losing yet another attempt at gaining a seat in Westminster, his 6th or 7th to date. I look forward to more episodes in the final days of UKIP !
" Total implosion imminent"

leaderless and clueless

seems like the only party thats applicable to is your beloved labour party...still dont let that get in the way of your obsession with ukip...more bitter please !
Mikey, //Everything that I predicted about UKIP has become apparent.//

Blimey! If you hadn't been so very wrong about the Labour Party's
(mis)fortunes I could almost believe you to be a veritable oracle!
It looks like UKip managed to stop your classy Comrade Miliband from gurning another week in Parliament mikey. That is enough for me.

More than can be said regarding your pre-election predictions about Labour.
Sorry naomi24, I posted my comments before I got round to reading yours.

AOG...thanks for your admission that everything I said about UKIP turned out to be true ! No mould breaking to be seen.
Not really Mikey. I don't recall you saying they would take such a huge share of the vote. You missed that one.
Question Author
No, what I said, and you can check ( and you will ! ) is that no mould would be broken by this disorganised rabble. I predicted that they would fall on their *** in the Election and they did. Not only did they not make any gains, they actually lost 1 of their only 2 seats. The Party also failed to get its Leader elected, and he promised to resign his position if he failed to get into Westminster, although he seems to have forgotten that now.

But it didn't take a genius to make that prediction, did it, so I can't really claim much in the way of credit.

Farage is making much of coming second in lots of seats. I don't want to waste time trying to find out just how many seats that was applicable to, nor, to be frank, do I have any desire to do so. But Labour came second in lots of seats, and the Tories did as well, but we are not hearing any whining from them are we !

The truth is that Farage and UKIP just weren't popular enough, and that is why they failed to make any impression.

It can't be denied that Labour are in an unenviable place right now, but they will bounce back like they always have. The reality with UKIP is that they have been trying to get into Westminster since 1991, and they have failed to make anything other than a big noise.
//and you will !//

No - I won't - but they did make an impression - 4 million votes was it? If you really thought they were as ineffectual as you claim, I think your obsession with them would have subsided by now.
Question Author
Naomi...they now have one seat less at Westminster, than they did the day before the election, and they only had one then ! If that is a success, than I am Queen of the May !
I will.
mikey4444
He will come out of all this with probably a seat for himself at Westminster, and maybe a small handful of colleagues. He has said that he thinks UKIP will come 2nd in lots of seats, but so what ? The Tories and Labour have been coming second in 100's of seats for as long as anybody can remember.
