I believe it to be 'every men for himself'. It is not possible to become rich beyond your means without taking advantage of other's possessions.
It is worth noting that without capitalism you would not have any luxuries in life.
When you count your income tax, vat, extra tax on chocolate/petrol etc. council rates... you'll realise that the state takes around half of your earnings, often more.
Socialism is only different in that there are a lot less very rich people and a lot more poor people.

Socialism: You have two cows. The government takes one and gives it to your neighbour.
Communism: You have two cows. You give them to the government, and the government then gives you some milk.
Fascism: You have two cows. You give them to the government, and the government then sells you some milk.
Capitalism: You have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull.
Nazism: You have two cows. The government takes both and shoots you.
Blairism: You have two cows. The government takes both, shoots one for foot and mouth disease, buys milk from the other cow, then pours the milk down the drain.
Foreign Aidism: You send all the cows out to Pakistan, along with £100 mln. They kill the cows for being non-Muslim, buy bombs and send terrorists back to you to blow up the empty farms and dairies.
