Might have been unwise to single out one group of health tourists but there is nothing mean-spirited about saying we should not be funding other countries health responsibilities, that we are not prepared to be suckers. There is "generosity" and then there is being a "soft touch".

I would have thought that Farage can hardly afford to fall out with Carswell, as he is his only MP ! You could argue safey that Douglas Carswell is UKIP ! We should remember that UKIP only had 2 MPs and to lose one was rather unfortunate.
But Carswell is correct, and to give him credit where it is due, he said as much on this subject before the Election, so he is being entirely consistent now.
