So, to avoid appearing to be Nazis, the French authorities have to allow large tracts of their land to be used as open cess pits by people who have no right to be there? Right.
Anyway, leaving that hysteria aside, it is a waste of time. They will simply reassemble somewhere else. And they will continue to do so until France withdraws from the Schengen Agreement and properly polices its borders.

just asking how much of a step is it from sweeping aside an inconvenience (and that's what it must be, since an equally insanitary - but out of sight of high spending tourists - camp has existed in Calais for some years now) to something darker. the germans were, after all, a cultured nation that permitted their government to take them to bad places.
A ridiculous comparison. Are the French supposed to allow these immigrants to live in unsanitary conditions and create public health problems to the community at large. They have more right to dismantle these hovels than the people who inhabit them have the right to be in France in the first place.
It says at the end of the link that these displaced squatters are rehoused in more sanitary conditions so there appears nothing NAZI about this perfectly justifiable action. What business is it of ours to criticise. The French have created their own problems by having porous borders.
