Knights and virgins ?

I like to think I'm not slow on the uptake...but no I'm clueless???
I thought he was referring to 'droit de signeur' but then I'm slow on the uptake...
^ seigneur..
Well a simple explanation that the funny line was referring to feudal Lords of medieval times would have sufficed.

However my Father had a good saying to me when I was bemused...

'Lynne, you can't get sense from the outhouse wall'

I have cleaned that up slightly - naughty Dad.

There is no evidence of the alleged right in medieval Europe.
lol lol Talbot, do you believe what you read on Wiki? You might as well read the DM...
Congratulations Lenny. He's done a lot of charity work, others have been rewarded for the same kind of charity work in the past years.
Numerous historians have studied the subject and the result is that it turns out there is no solid evidence of this practice happening in reality at all.

I'm still struggling with the comedy element too.
I agree with Mamy here. It is often said that black boys and black young men lack the right role models these days. Well Lenny has proved that you can make a success out of life and still be black. I think he deserves every plaudit that he gets. I personally would love to him on the stage in a serious acting role.
Lord Lenny of Unfunnyland.
He got good reviews for his appearance in Othello.

Re The Syndicate someone mentioned, I think he captures Aspergers very well in that role too.
I fully agree Craft, to me he is annoying & overrated.
I suspect a lot of people find him very annoying but daren't admit it.

If he's let the cat out of the bag before it's announced formerly he's quite likely to not get his knighthood.
Because he is co-founder of Comic Relief dive buddy which has raised over £1bn as I already said.
I don't know who the other co-founder was and whether he/she got recognition and I cba to look it up.
He seems a decent enough guy.

But I can never understand why folk get selected for honours. I figure they have long since lost and real meaning.
...ANY ...

// I give up, I really do.//

please give up hair pulling and spitting in the playground

I am glad Lenny is now Sir-Lenny to be - normally these things are embargoed and he has worked hard for it

Who would have thought Jonathan Miller would produce operas or Bill Oddie would turn into a bird-watcher
