But it's a different country's choice. If they want a fearful society rather than a feel safer one; it only affects the rest of us if those easily obtainable arms are easily smuggled elsewhere in the world.
Zacs...you may find the following of interest. I am certainly not saying that racism has been cured in the States but the Civil Rights movement changed things massively.....they have a black President after all !

For all those that think the US should abandon its gun laws.
Just how would you propose they get rid of the estimated 400 million guns in the US?
And as I have pointed out before, all very well sittingin your 2 up 2 down in Wales where plod are close at hand should some nefarious rat boy pop round, just how would you propose people in the middle of the US protect themselves?

Its abundantly clear America has a far worse record for gun deaths than Britain. We have mad people as well as America, but the difference is that its difficult to get access to a gun here, whatever you say, but in the States its extremely easy.
