Sorry, grammar issues, yes it is even!
Apparently so Sandy, but, as usual, it didn't stop these series of murders !

This shows again, that the death penalty doesn't act as a deterrent.

They have no lethal drugs to execute anyone at the moment, you have to volunteer yourself for the electric chair.
I'm not sure how the legal system works over there to any great degree but I wonder if he could avoid the death penalty for a guilty plea, saving a trial, could be possible as he seemed to give himself up with no trouble or then you get the insanity kind of pleas.

Mind you, I couldn't even begin to understand the mind-set of someone like that in the first place.

It's cases like this latest shooting that make you question your opposition to the death penalty. But I'm still against it. This young man, if convicted in a state without the death penalty, might have spent 60 years in prison.

* might have had to spend... ^
Even those on Death Row can spend a long time in prison prior to being executed, from what I understand.
Sandy...because of the long drawn out appeal procedure, he might still be an old man before he is executed.
He will be begging for the death penalty when he becomes the love toy of the people he hates.
Yep, I wouldnt want to be his ring piece.

No Mickey it is not going to be 100% deterrent as there will be those that think they will get away with it. What you dont know is if anyone has not committed murder because of the death penalty.

60 years in a high security jail, think of the cost. Best to get rid of the piece of scum
