Why make a poster sound like an alarmist for saying they would not chose a certain place to go on holiday?
I see them as sensible. Having said that, I must add that some posters put their point across better than others.
What advice had the Foreign Office given about travelling there? As Svejk has pointed out there was a murderous attack in Tunisia just a few months ago.
'Why make a poster sound like an alarmist for saying they would not chose a certain place to go on holiday?'

because they're being................alarmist.
Egypt, Greece, Turkey, Tunisa.......They may have a decent hotel between them but they still dumps. I've been to most places and beleive me decent accomodation is not the be all and end all. I've had more fun and felt safer on the pavement in Bombay, with an egg banjo and local beer. when I said comfort I meant in the mental sense. If a mink lined crib is all you care about DB then you are missing the point.

No they are not, another attack in Tunisia could happen at anytime. 3000 buggered off to join isis another 12000 have tried to leave and join.

Why are troops patrolling the streets in Tunisia...alarmists?
Never been Zacs so what's the problem? I like walking and plenty of it there to do, plus I want to see the war museums etc.

Zacs I bet there's some reluctant Brits who were on the beach in Tunisia today who may have been told they are being alarmist by their partners or family who suggested they go there.
Anyway 'alarmist' is fairly high up the anxiety scale. Personally I don't want to be even mildly concerned when on holiday.

To suggest that Tunisia is full of barbarians is daft, and not respectable at all.

I and many 10,000's of others have had holidays there before. We plainly would not have gone if it had been Saudi Arabia. Tunisia is a small country, that has successfully converted itself into a modern society, without losing any of its essential character.

While I enjoyed my holiday there, I would refrain from returning at present, as the political situation is far too unsteady now. But to paint the whole Tunisian population as barbarian, because of the actions of a few terrorists is stupid, and you should be ashamed of yourself.
Tourists are warned NOT to reveal their whereabouts when reporting, BBC news. Reprisals, I expect?
I look back fondly on the days when the likes of Brian Hanrahanrahan and Jeremy Bowen brought the news of such events, not Dave from Luton or Jocaster on a gap year.
Jeremy Bowen is infamous for his support of Islamist terrorists.

"Tunisia is a small country, that has successfully converted itself into a modern society, without losing any of its essential character. "

Pity you arent as enthusiastic about this country and loss of its essential character..
to quote you from earlier "you should be ashamed of yourself" ...fat chance...
British people confirmed among the dead.
I had a lovely holiday in Tunisia, well apart from it being too hot, and the food, and the locals sexually harassing you...
