20,000 British Tourists In Tunisia

According to the Independent, at least 20,000 british tourists are on holiday in Tunisia. At least, because that is the package tour numbers...there may be 1000's more independent travelers there as well. I am not sure how many seats you average package holiday jet has but I am guessing about 300.

That is an awful lot of flights !

it's not unusual for one part of a country to be safe whle others aren't. I once went to Sri Lanka and had a lovely time but couldn't get to Trincomalee or other places in the north because of rebel activity. Likewise, has anyone stopped going to France because of the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris?

If you can get past Sangatte without having some nasty African hiding your boot then you are probably ok :-)

People rightly or wrongly will just think: Tunisia = Moslems = nasty

If the relatives of the gunman live in the same place he came from, they won't have any problems.
