would not bother me
i probably wouldn't notice, i am a tax payer and pay for my prescriptions so......
Wouldn't bother me none either. Considering my husband and I have been contributing towards them for 40ish years (collectively) I wouldn't feel guilty about it.
and they are free here anyhow
Oh yeah, and I pay for MM's too ;-)
ta muchy Boo !
My acct told me I was her highest payer on PAYE

so I look at free presctiptions and think " paid for by PP alone probably "

I used to buy drugs over the counter in Egypt and even Fluclox is £20.
80% of prescriptions are free, so the cost wouldn't bother these people and what is most important is that the majority of people are thick skinned concerning most aspects of the NHS, it wouldn't bother them either.

A total waste of time, effort and money...............
What is the position in Ethpanya Sqad ?

How much do you pay a month for health insurance or do you rely on EHIC ?
MPs should have the phrase tattooed on their forehead.
PP.

1) All OAP's expats get free health care paid for by the UK. providing that all the paperwork is done.
2) All OAP's ex-Pat and locals pay 10 of the total prescription cost.

3) Non OAP,s expat and locals have to pay into the tax system for 2 years and then they have free healthcare.......and not before.
"10%"....typo.
what bibblebub says.

I have no idea what my 'script costs, I do know nothing is wasted.
My initial reaction was it must be obvious to anyone in the know that they are life saving products on repeat prescription not something for someone who's got a bit of a sniffle and wants a day off.
To put that label on them would be nothing short of patronising in the extreme!
Good idea, I think it should be extended to all benefits.
Another step in demonising the sick, the poor, the disabled; in order to justify even more cuts in the Welfare State which it is the Tory's aim to dismantle.
"demonising" no, informing, yes.

I'm walking away from this before I become extremely offensive to someone!
it seems to be only the sick so far, Khandro... wait till you get a pension labelled "paid for by the taxpayer". Or your child's school report. Or when it's embroidered on army uniforms. Until then, I think it' aimed at the sick.

Surely they could just print off some leaflets if they want to inform? No, this is try to stop people taking prescriptions.
