To Be Radicalised
What on earth do they tell these mumpties to sway them into taking their family into danger. I really would interested to know.
I could never be sold a set of double glazed windows, let alone be lured into wearing head to toe black garb or carry a rifle. To offer your young daughter as a bride and your son as a suicide bomber, utter madness.
All in the name of Islam, I don't buy it. Has to be more offered to them.

It`s easier to brainwash people these days because the internet is there as a medium. Some people can be brainwashed into believing anything (look at the Moonies) and this lot https:/ /en.wik ipedia. org/wik i/Heave n%27s_G ate_%28 religio us_grou p%29

/// TTT is right - and we've plenty of examples in this country's history. ///
I wondered how long it would be before an anti-Westerner, decided that we are just as bad, even if it means going back in history to the Middle Ages.
Which only goes to proves that we have moved on from such times, whereas others seem to have not.

I have no problem with them or any others from following a religion, just the same as following a political party, a football team etc, etc. Some get much enjoyment and comfort from such followings.
It is when certain followers carry out anti-social or criminal deeds under the flag of their beliefs, that the problems exist.
At this moment in our history it is Islam and those who choose to follow it's in-doctoring that are up for criticism and condemnation, and rightly so.

/// all religion is bad, at the moment Islam is going through it's "spanish inquisition" phase. No doubt in a few hundred years they'll calm down a bit. ///
Obviously you are speaking as an Atheist, but that does not make what you say correct.
And once again to bungle Christianity, side by side with Islam, only turns you into an 'Islamic excuser'.
You mention the Spanish inquisition which took place mainly in the 16th century a whole 500 years ago.
The actual number of executions carried out, as far as they can be reconstructed from the available sources, are as follows:
The number of executions in persona in the period 1540–1700 are at least 1303
These took place in a much more savage time and when killings in the name of Islam where also taking place.
I wonder what Islam's total killing figures are just in the present day 21st century?

/// As usual, you twist something to suit your own hate-filled agenda. ///
That is a good one coming from AB's no1 'hate-feed agenda specialist'.
/// I am NOT anti-Westerner and NEITHER did I say we are just as bad. ///
Really, then why the need to type this:

/// they have all done evil, non of them are excused, none of them. ///
That is perfectly true, but at the moment it is Islam that is under discussion, and for one to bring in other religions, gives one the impression that you are trying to dilute the actions of the religion under discussion.
Until such times that some other of the world's religions, commit the atrocities that are being committed by Islam, then I am sure someone will enter a thread on that, but please don't try and introduce atheist views on the subject of religion.
Maybe you would care to introduce such views on a complete new thread, if such a religion has not kicked off enough to get into the news, then perhaps you could post it in the Religious section?
