Not at all Gromit, people can donate to whom they want, and if you read some of the post, YOU will see thats its not just ME.
And if you look on FB, there's a post similar, and about 95% out of 300 replies have the same feelings as ME!

I don't think people are reluctant to donate to charities, but I suspect that they find it annoying what happens to their donations, particularly when it is given out to prospective benefit scroungers as is in this case. Thousands of our own people rely on food banks and I feel they should take preference.

For that reason, I think by definition that there are no genuine asylum seekers in Calais trying to get here. Zero. They are all economic migrants. I suppose in a way it's a compliment that they'd risk their necks to live here rather than France or any other country in Europe, but I can think of many more deserving charitable causes ...
