http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ news/uk -334697 18
Considering that a lot of people decided to stay only hours after the previous terrorist attack, just how many will take heed of this advice ?

I think most people would heed this warning, I think a lot of people have been waiting to hear if they can either get alternative holidays or their money back. I know my friend is due to go there in a couple of weeks but could not get her travel company to commit as they were waiting on the foreign office. She should now hopefully get a different holiday.

Retrocop and others...no problem about the "hijacking" !
Far be it for me to side with our present Government but I don't see that they had any option but to give the advice that they have today. Its now up to the tourists themselves to decide whether to stay or not.
I can't see many of them much choice actually, as most future holidays have been canceled by the tour operators, and the Brits that are there at present will either have to come back this weekend, on the special flights being set up, or make their own way home.
I was listening to one British tourist being interviewed live on the BBC today, and he was saying how safe he felt, with 10 Policemen, armed with sub-machine guns patrolling the beach, together with a similarly armed speedboat patrolling off shore. I don't know about feeling safe, but if this is his idea of a relaxing holiday, then god only knows what he does for a living !
