I'm sitting here in the shade swinging to and fro on my swing seat, in my loose shorts and top, no bra, feet up, sipping a cold Bellini. The breeze is gently stirring the leaves on the trees in the garden, the bees are lazily bumbling around, a few butterflies flitting to and fro, perfick, as Ma Larkin would say :)
How are you staying cool?

Don't need to. The strong SE wind became chilly on the beach when it clouded over at 4 pm.
By staying indoors. It's far too hot for me today.
I've got all the back doors open and the fan on, which my lovely dog is sitting gratefully in front of !

Sitting out on first floor balcony, Estuary watching, with a nice fresh breeze coming off the water. Dogs flaked out in the sun so all is well with the World.
Lots of shade from the trees and the water adds a coolness - sat doing a quiz.
Nice, ethandron.......I'm in my conservatory, windows fully open so lovely sea breeze coming in, watching Murray vs Federer, sipping an appletiser with ice, and munching on some twiglets :-)
Really jealous of the ones near water ..... !

How the other half ^^^^ live!
;o)

You've mention the estuary before Baldric, where do you live, sounds great :)
We looked at an upside down property on Anglesey a couple of years ago, over looking an estuary but it was too remote.
I'm doing what Tilly's doing; staying indoors, with the addition of move about as little as possible. An exception to that is going to the fridge now and again for a G+T. Next door neighbours are loving this weather, sitting in the full glare of the sun!

Couldn't sit in the full glare, not unless I had a pool to throw myself in from time to time to cool off.
I'm staying indoors too, too hot for me so went out earlier to get home and installed on my sofa for Wimbledon. Have all the curtains closed and east facing windows open for cooler air. Got an ice lolly and glad it's the cooler part of the house in the afternoon!

Kept nodding off during the tennis earlier so won't be long to bed, hopefully get to see the Murray/Federer game out!
i'm in the garden pool with the butler bringing drinks out to me ................well i can dream lol x

Hampton Bay between Whitstable and Herne Bay

We're on the front about half way across piccie!
Very pleasant here but not overwhelmingly hot. There is a cliff outside my kitchen so the sun doesn't heat it up. I'm sitting in there ~ wearing a fleece!
I was in Herne Bay this week, strolled along the harbour arm, or whatever its called, eating a delicious ice cream.

Today I'm back in Norfolk alternating my chair in the shade for the sofa. The grass is waiting to br cut, but its still too warm.
Question Author
I love Norfolk :)
Need to check out herne bay and that part of the world, never set foot there and it looks lovely.
Maydup, where in Norfolk? It's my home county; wish I lived there now!
I have my lovely new chrome retro fan on!
miss Norwich myself !
