If Cameron thinks would be recruits are not aware of these possibilities then he is surely mistaken but there again is he saying that boys will be brainwashed and girls not?
He talks about the necessity to 'de-glamorise' the extremist cause but this isn't about glamour. These people are not devoid of intelligence and I don't subscribe to the brainwashing theory.
Hundreds have bolted already with many of their families left shaking their heads at the shock moves by their offspring. How is the Government going to have an impact? The speech will be interesting but trite, bland statements wont be of any deterrent. It is far more profound.
