So called formal apologies from business leaders, heads of state, politicians, and others in "high places" have about as much sincerity and meaning as "Have a nice day". "Enjoy", and "Our thoughts and prayers are with...". They contain as much substance as cheesecloth holds water.
Mikey, The company did what it did – and it was perfectly content to do what it did - just as the Nazis did what they did and were perfectly content with that. There was no remorse. An apology 70 years down the line from people who weren’t culpable is no doubt well-meant and offered in all sincerity but in reality apart from it being a nice gesture it’s meaningless. No one should be expected to apologise for another's crimes.
