Six out of 11 guilty, is not perfect, but I feel sure there will be many more.

/// why "not perfect"? Are you suggesting the others are guilty but have got away with it? ///
No I am not, it is only you (an obvious apologist) who is assuming that I am.
It is not perfect, because all over the country there are many more of sick perverted individuates still walking free.
*** The jury could not decide on charges against Jerome Joe, 35, of Pightle Crescent, Buckingham. He denies one count of rape and a single count of sexual activity with a child. The Crown announced that it will seek a retrial for him. ***
And then perhaps this could be vet another locked away out of harms way for a number of years?

I've said it before and I'm saying it (yet) again.
I am very thankful that this awful crime is being properly dealt with at last and the perpetrators are being bought to justice. I hope the sentences will be harsh.
This has been going on for DECADES in my experience and centuries from historic reports of child prostitution. 40 years ago girls (and some boys) in children's homes and from troubled backgrounds were being exploited in this exact same way by grown men. It wasn't called grooming then and the police and social services did nothing about it. The children would be reported missing, the police would find them, take them back to their home or the children's home and they would abscond again. If they had anything to say nobody was listening. These kids were considered to be 'trouble' and 'problem kids' who 'brought it on themselves' or were 'lying' if they tried to complain.
Very often they didn't as they thought it was 'normal' and better than the life they had had.
Things are changing now, much too late for many victims. 40 years ago these men weren't of Asian origin, they were English, Welsh, Irish, Scottish, Turkish, Cypriot - all nationalities. At least the ones I were aware of were.
I give thanks that at last this abuse is being dealt with.

Once again AOG, you've been hoisted by your own petard for not making it unequivocally clear in the OP what you meant. Someone pulls you up on what I also believe to be your original meaning (that it is imperfect because not all were found guilty) and then you try to make some ludicrous response to worm your way out of the hole, making your argument weaker and weaker.
AOG...yet another attempt to tar all Asians with the same brush.
Whilst these men are Asian and have been found guilty, the newspapers are full of stories, almost ever about white men being found guilty of child sex offences. They are Vicars, Police Officers, Teachers, and Uncle Tom Cobley and all. All white and none of them Muslims, yet we never hear from you unless the perpetrators are non-white
I too, am unsure the significance of your "not perfect" comments.

/// JNO is not the only one wondering why you said the verdict was not perfect. It's an odd thing to say unless a perfect result would have been more, if not all, found guilty. ///
Then who else, please form an orderly queue?
I did not suggest that the others were guilty, but got away with it, as Jno implied, neither did I say six out of 11 guilty, is not perfect, but feel sure there are many more.
Just as a fisherman who had netted 11 prime fish, but 5 had got away, would say "still there are plenty more out there".
Since you are so keen on perfect English CORBY, just read through this again.

I agree with the the others who have questioned your used of the term 'is not perfect', because it suggests that a perfect result would be the conviction of all 11 tried.
Your explanation that there are many other paedophiles walking free doesn't make any sense when discussing this case, unless you believe that the five who were not convicted are part of the group of perverts who are walking free.
But leaving that aside - your point about integration is valid. You should be able to clearly communicate in the given language of the host country. Although as a caveat, it depends on how long the defendants were in the country.
I'm almost certain that if I were being tried for a crime in a country where I was not 100% sure of my communication skills, I would want an interpreter, because what I would be dealing with is my freedom. I would wan to be completely sure that I was answering the prosecution's questions correctly, and sometimes even the simplest linguistic idioms can trip you up in court.

Some on here accuse me of making none understandable posts, generally by those who wish to lie and weave something into them that I have never said or implied.
This one of mikey's is a typical example. where have I attempted to tar all Asians with the same brush.
This news item whether or not you Leftie Liberal apologists like it is regarding 11 Asians standing trial for child sex abuse, so for that fact alone one needs to mention Asians, just as one would need to mention Muslims if some were up for trial on terrorist charges.
Yes we all know some would like it not to be mentioned even going to the lengths of saying, in Asian child abusive cases" yes but what about the politicians, the vicars, and the priests", or even delving into their history books and saying "yes but what about what we did in our Empire days or even during the Crusades"? if some Muslim terrorists were on trial.
Pathetic absolutely pathetic.
