I see the labour party have suspended him.
Svejk
Oh. Was he a member of the Labour party then as well as his other vices. ??
Retrocop...what a pity that the Tory Party wasn't so quick to suspend this odious creature :::

What is he guilty of?
I'd have thought your membership expires when you do.
( I am not sure how long this post will last ! )

Retrocop...of attending parties at the Elm Guest House and fiddling with small boys. and no, I have no proof.
Mikey
The Tory party might well have suspended him if he was found guilty in a court of law and not the court of AB. We will never know. Only evidence seems the usual "no smoke" etc
Of course the Sun could of fabricated the amusement they provided and dubbed Mr Sewer's voice I suppose but I have not read of any howls of protest about the story from the star of the show yet.

Did you miss DB's explanation at 1638. All is explained.?
Talbot- you are thinking of Lord Greville Janner who I think is on leave of absence from the House of Lords. He hasn't been convicted (although I'd agree that the whole thing sniffs of a cover up) so I suppose there is no mechanism for him being officially de-Lorded
Question Author
Could Janner not be taken to some high place in the Palace of Westminster and defenestrated?
Whatever he did, some of his opinions aren't that wrong... Tony Blair did start to get it really wrong towards the end and he did seem to fall in love with George W; David Cameron is the most facile, superficial PM that I can remember, etc.
Who are you referring to please, Mr Ee?

I don't think anybody is seriously suggesting that Sewell didn't do the things he is being accused of r-cop. He has already resigned for his (very highly) paid position as Deputy Speaker of the House of Lords, and Chair of the Lords Privileges and Conduct Committee. He should now resign altogether. Silly tw6t.

He is an embarrassment to the Houses of Parliament.
And/or the labour party?

Randy...I am half-agreeing with your there ! (12:36)

I am reminded of a story that is told about Churchill. A minor member of the Government was found in the bushes of Hyde Park with a Guardsman, sometime in the 1950's, when such things were still illegal. It was also a very cold and frosty night.

When Churchill was told about this, it is said that he commented something along the lines of ::

"What ! On one of the coldest nights of the year ? Makes you proud to be British ! "
