They say that India is very nice, around this time of the year Aisha, and also very cheap.

// You are reading something into that article that no-one else in the country is seeing. I have read pages and pages of the comments below the article and not one of them has suggested what you are suggesting. You need to face up to reality, gromit. Some brown people are racists. //
Obviously the Guardian didn't think it racist, or they would not have printed it. Not all the comments think it is racist, the highest rated answer with 160 likes, seems to sum it correctly. People of all skin colours, nationalities, can be racist, and brown people are no exception.
I have done the game of changing all references of white people and replacing them with the word black, and you still do not get a racist article. It is possible to criticise someone of a different colour without being racist. I disagree with this article, not because it is racist (it isn't), but because I do not with the conclusion she has come to. There will ve some white people who leave an area because they no longer like the current complexion of the community, but they will be a very small minority of the leavers. The vast majority leaving will be those who have become more wealthy through age, and want to leave a poor area for a nicer place.

The point of the question is that the same article written from a white person's point of view and basically saying 'thank gawd I don't have to live in a place where I'm surrounded by only black people', would be quite rightly stomped on for being racist, rather than being viewed as a celebration of cultural diversity.
Gromit is being deliberately obtuse in failing to acknowledge that, in my opinion.

The article is blatantly racist under the rules you lefties use...if a whte english person had written it and it was blacks instead of whites you lot would be screaming from the roof tops and you damn well know it.
The authour is just another black with a massive chip to carry around and an agenda that shes got away with because its in the good old "Grauniad", how could that possibly be racist if theyve printed it !?...
"The vast majority leaving will be those who have become more wealthy through age"
garbage...most want to live amongst people they identify with and it aint black or asians or muzzys....shame some of you lot just hate to face up to a few home truths.
how a person like gromet with his biased leftie views is allowed to mod on here is beyond belief
"Obviously the Guardian didn't think it racist, or they would not have printed it."....dream on

/// People are deliberately misreading the article because they are the target of it. Their defence seems to be she is black and I am white so her motivation in writing the article must be a racist one. It isn't. ///
No but if she was white and I was black, it most certainly would be racist to some.

I may have advised people who get upset by reading its contents, that they should stop reading it, to stop them getting upset. That is not to say people shouldn't read it.
It is best to read more than one source of a news item, especially if the source is a newspaper which are not required to be unbiased or impartial.

But what these Why I am Leaving London articles are missing is that, while the psychic burden of living in the city with the highest living costs in the developed world is very real for a brown person, in my experience the cost of living surrounded only by white people is worse.
I may be wrong but isn't she having a go about white people moaning about having to leave London because they are surrounded by brown people?
I wish she had explained where she lived surrounded by only white people, because I find that hard to believe.
She sounds like a brown Katie Hopkins, only she will be forgotten about tomorrow.
As I have said, I do not agree with the article. She seems like someone who is passionate about her London, poor fool.
She (a black person) is saying "white people leaving my area is a bad thing because it is the mix that makes it great." - not racist.
And transposing the skin colour...
If a white person wrote, "black people leaving my area is a bad thing because it is the mix that makes it great." - Also not racist.
