The impact Dam Busters raid is in some dispute, although partly this will be because of German propaganda at the time (and, for that matter, British counter-propaganda).
It doesn't matter in the slightest, and this "anti-British" accusation is totally inappropriate (anyway, Munro was a New Zealander). Munro, and his fellow pilots and crew, deserve our thanks and praise. Not least because something close to half of them died on the flight, making the danger so apparent that at times I wonder how the heck anyone managed to convince themselves to go on one such mission, let alone dozens or hundreds.

Yes I know it sounds rather strange these days, but in those days it was one's Duty.
No one went on hundreds of missions Jim, one did a tour of 30 operations, and carried out a maximum of 2 operations.
