Did it deserve the vast amounts of taxpayers money that was constantly thrown at it?

Thanks for that, oh so basically a "drop-in" centre for inner-city kids, would that be a free nursery type of thingy for those who want other people to look after their kids.
I reported 2 charities to the charity commission (with evidence) and nothing happened. In the end I sent the commission a letter asking what they actually did if they didn't investigate dodgy charities....they did not reply.

With someone running it called Batman you`d think they`d expect a robbin
AOG

You asked two questions that I myself asked when I saw this story unfold.

I honestly believe that it was a charity run by people who's hearts were in the right place, but as to the location of their brains...

Yes but what did it actuality do?
From the link above:
It provided a range of services to children who in many cases were not being looked after by their parents, including counselling, hot meals at drop-in centres, and assistance with healthcare and housing

One really has to ask, why? and a better definition of 'kids' would be welcome, if the age of consent begins (in the UK) at 16, then it seems fair to assume that 'kids' are anything below that age, but from what I have seen on TV the majority were well over that age, some appeared to be in their 20's even.
Someone got rich that's for sure.
// It kept the female "Ali-Bongo" in a well-remunerated "job",AOG.//

the so called Ali Bongo ( Alia Bonga surely ? ) aka Camila Batman-gaily ( and that is not difficult to pronounce innit ) was charismatic

a bit like you AOG only more brighty/ gaily dressed.

world is full of charismatic people who didnt look after the books ....
and she was one
oh and she went ( ali bonga I mean ) to Sherborne Girls School
and then onto a degree at Warwick

not an ali bonga at all really.... piddy the name doesnt fit the educational history.....

[ at wormwood scrubs there is an old etonian table isnt there ? )
Well Zacs: it seems to me, it's a place that look after African children, so it gives the parents more time to have more children, so they can go to the kid's company, to be looked after. And it collects money, so the people that run it, may get more people giving money.

Like the little girl in the add, that has to collect water, so her father can sit on his bottom, and wait for the west to feed his family, so he doesn't have to work.

It makes me wonder my the men don't get up, and sort themselves out, and not end up over here.
