Bonjour and Buongiorno

Not staying long. BF is not up yet (avoids obvious gag) but I got up to catch up on the Netball. I had to post, because it's been an exciting morning ...

Australia have been beaten!!

Huge favourites for the tournament, and on their home patch, it looks like Australia can be vulnerable. Okay, they lost to the Silver Ferns, but an early loss at this stage of the tournament will be a psychological blow for the Diamonds.

To put it in context, Australia haven't lost in a World Cup game since 2003, when they were beaten in the Final. They haven't lost in any tournament at all since 2013, and they have won their last 21 games in a row.

So, that all important score ...

Australia 47-52 New Zealand

In the meantime, Wales have had a good win ...

Well done, the Welsh girls.

England are winning comfortably against Samoa. Then I'm going back to bed.

The Samoan GS and GA are having a great game. They've only missed one shot each. But they are just not getting the possession and the shooting opportunities against England.
