I meet quite a lot of women who now say that they are Lesbians but most of them have young children, so I am unsure what is going on to be honest !

Obviously you have never heard of the Protein World Ad?

*** Then it decided to advertise on the London Underground. Within days of 74 large-format trackside posters and 4,000 incarriage ads going up the campaign had generated a furore of such proportions that it sparked a petition signed by more than 50,000 people, a graffiti epidemic, threats of violence and plans for a protest rally in Hyde Park. ***
AOG - that ad was aimed specifically at women - that bears no relation to my point contradicting the observation that adverts aimed at men can create sexual urges in women who see them.

It is not unknown for gay men and women to marry members of the opposite sex, have children, and then at a later stage in life, admit that they have been pretending an orientation which is not theirs, and deciding to follow what they feel is their genuine orientation - which means leaving their marriage or relationship, and starting another with a member of the same gender.
AOG, I think (like you I suspect,) I have never read anything like it. There was nothing like this when I was growing up, Has it all been recently invented ?
No, Ron, it was just kept secret.

Don't know about that Ron, but I think that the days are not far off from it being made compulsory. :0)

Look ummmm, when I started hitting the streets my dad said to me '' if you are not in bed by 11 pm, come home'' Surely if these strange women were lurking about he would have told me.
Andy H...I quite accept that.
Think about how images of female bisexuality is openly accepted in the media.

Women are frequently presented in quasi-sexual poses in magazines, in advertising and in art.

Empirical evidence that I've seen supports the idea that there are way more bisexual women than men.

Don't know why.
Huzzah

Someone has used the word 'compulsory' when referring to non-heterosexual relations.

Who had 'compulsory' on their ticket?

Anyone?

I had the word 'promotion' on mine. I thought that was an obvious winner.

Damn.

Perhaps because many men will pay good money to see two ladies in action (with two good looking girls) it stands to reason that advertisers etc will latch onto it?

Because a large proportion of heterosexual men find the idea of lesbian interaction - pretend or real - to be titillating.

The same cannot be said of heterosexual women liking images of homoerotica to quite the same degree.
YMB and I have cross-posted, but have obviously reached the same conclusion,
No...what I mean is that I've met way more bi women than men. That's what I meant by empirical evidence.

And these women are certainly not doing it to turn men on.

No argument there.

Given the fundamental differences in the genders, if I was a woman, I could easily see the attraction in another woman - they are gentle, smooth, look after themselves and smell nice - what's not to like?

But my curiosity towards men would be tempered by the fact that they are hairy, bristly, have big blunt hands, and don't always brush their teeth.

It's a no-brainer really isn't it?
I think women are just generally more honest about what turns them on.
When you put it like that, Andy!! lol
Dont forget drink a lot, belch, fart and are often overweight!
